| gperson.biography | Mehtap Aygün Çağlar graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Atatürk University in 2008. She received her MRes degree in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham in 2013 and her Ph.D. from the same institution in 2017. Her doctoral research focused on the synthesis of metal–carbon nanoreactor composites and their applications in catalysis and electrochemical water splitting. Following her Ph.D., she conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Santiago de Compostela, where she worked on a European Research Council–funded project to develop sustainable metal–carbon hybrid materials for energy applications. Since 2019, she has served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Basic Sciences at Erzurum Technical University. Her current research focuses on the design, sythesis and advanced characterization of low-dimensional functional carbon, metal, metal–hybrid, and semiconductor nanostructures, as well as their potential applications in photonics, sustainable heterogeneous catalysis, and energy-related fields. | |
