Türk İmalat Sanayinde Bilgi Dışsallıkları

Abstract

Son yıllarda yaşanan teknolojik gelişmeler neticesinde Dünya'da mesafe kavramı ortadan kalkmaya başlamıştır. Üretilen bilgi ve yenilikler başka kişi veya kuruluşlara hızlı bir şekilde yayılmaktadır. İletişim ve ulaşım teknolojilerindeki hızlı gelişmeler ülkeleri yakınlaştırarak dünyayı adeta ''küresel bir köy''e dönüştürmüştür. Bu çalışmada, Türk imalat sanayisinde meydana gelen bilgi dışsallıkları üzerine sınırlı sayıda çalışmanın bulunması, bilgi dışsallıklarının öneminin daha iyi şekilde kavranması ve konu ile ilgili yapılacak olan araştırmalara kaynak oluşturmak hedeflenmiştir. Analiz aşamasında her sektör için otokorelasyon ve değişen varyans problemlerinin var olup olmadığını belirlemek amacıyla Breush-Godfrey Serial Correlation (LM) Testi ve Heteroskedasticity (White) Testi yapılmıştır. Otokorelasyon ve değişen varyans testlerinden sonra tahmin yöntemi olarak GMM (Genelleştirilmiş Momentler Modeli) ile değişkenler test edilmiştir. İmalat sanayi alt sektörleri için ayrı ayrı yapılan GMM tahmincisi test sonuçlarına göre, MAR, Jacobs ve Porter bilgi dışsallıkları ve YENYO değişkeni hem pozitif hem de negatif etkiye sahip olabilmektedirler. MAR bilgi dışsallıkları 9 sektör, Jacobs bilgi dışsallıkları 7 sektörde ve Porter bilgi dışsallıkları ise 6 imalat sanayi alt sektörü için anlamlı bulunmuştur. YENYO değişkeni ise 9 İmalat sanayi alt sektörü için anlamlı bulunmuştur. Fast paced technological advancements of communication and attaining have brought countries closer so as to transform the world to a, so to say, 'global village'. In this study, the presence of a limited number of studies on externalities taking place in the Turkish manufacturing industry, the importance of externalities, will be a related topic aimed to generate resources for research. With regard to the test results of GMM estimator, where the tests were conducted separately for each of the sub-sectors of manufacturing industry; MAR, Jacobs, Porter, and III variable might have both positive and negative influences. MAR knowledge externalities (resulting from specialization) were probed to be meaningful in 9 sectors; whereas Jacobs's (resulting from diversity) in 7 sectors, and Porter's (resulting from competition) in 6 sub-sectors of the manufacturing industry. Also, III variable (resulting from innovation) was proved to be meaningful for the 9 sub-sectors of the manufacturing industry.
