Abstract
Aim: This study aims to examine the career future perceptions of Faculty of Sports Sciences students according to various variables. Method: The research was conducted within the scope of a descriptive survey model. The population of the research consists of students at Atatürk University's Faculty of Sports Sciences. The sample consists of a total of 239 students, including 153 males and 86 females, who are enrolled at Atatürk University's Faculty of Sports Sciences and were reached using an easily accessible sampling method. The 'Career Future Perception Scale' developed by Rottinghaus et al. (2005) and adapted into Turkish by Kalafat (2012) was used as the data collection tool in the study. Data were collected face-to-face and via Google forms. Data were analyzed using the SPSS v26.0 statistical program. Tests were performed using t-tests for the variables of gender, participation in sports, and type of sport, and One-Way ANOVA tests for the variables of age and class. The significance level for data analysis was set at p<0.05. Findings: The analyses revealed that participants' perceptions of their career future differed significantly based on variables such as gender, participation in sports, type of sport, and class, but no significant differences were observed based on age. Conclusion: It has been observed that the career future perceptions of Faculty of Sports Sciences students are a distinguishing factor based on variables such as gender, participation in sports, type of sport practiced, and class. It can be said that age does not have a significant effect on career future perceptions.
