Hanehalkının Eğitim Harcamalarını Etkileyen Faktörler: Erzurum İli Üzerine Bir Uygulama

Abstract

Eğitim için yapılan harcamalar, eğitimin kalitesini doğrudan etkilemektedir. Dolayısıyla hanehalklarının yapmış oldukları eğitim harcamaları, toplam eğitim harcamalarının büyük bir kısmını oluşturduğundan, eğitimin kalitesini belirlemek açısından oldukça önemlidir. Bu çalışmada, Erzurum'da hanehalklarının ortaokul düzeyinde yapmış oldukları eğitim harcamalarını etkileyen faktörler belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Aynı zamanda eğitim harcamalarının türleri üzerinde de durulmuştur. Çalışmada elde edilen veriler, araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan ve 807 hanehalkına uygulanan anketle elde edilmiştir. Veriler, Çoklu Regresyon Modeli ile analiz edilmiştir. Değişkenlerin normal dağılıp dağılmadığını belirlemek için Normallik Testi, bağımlı ve bağımsız değişkenler arasında ilişki olup olmadığını açıklamak ve modele dâhil edilmesi düşünülen değişkenleri belirlemek için Pearson Kolerasyon Testi yapılmıştır. EKKY (En Küçük Kareler Yöntemi) varsayımlarından sapmaların belirlenebilmesi için; VIF, Durbin Watson d-İstatistiği değerlerine bakılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre; öğrencinin cinsiyeti, öğrencinin sınıf düzeyi, annenin eğitim düzeyi, babanın eğitim düzeyi, annenin yaşı, hanehalkındaki öğrenci sayısı, ailenin ortalama aylık geliri faktörlerinin eğitim harcaması miktarını pozitif yönde etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Babanın yaşı, aylık-kira lojman giderleri ve başarı memnuniyeti faktörleri ile eğitim harcaması miktarı arasında ise negatif bir ilişki olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

Expenditure on education directly affects the quality of education. Therefore, it is very important to determine the quality of education because education expenditures made by the households constitute a large part of the total education expenditures. In this study, the factors affecting the education expenditures of the households in Erzurum in the level of secondary school were tried to be determined. At the same time, the types of education expenditures were also discussed. The data obtained from the study were obtained by the questionnaire which was created by the researcher and applied to 807 households. Data were analyzed by Multiple Regression Model. In order to determine whether the variables are normally distributed, the Pearson Collectivity Test was conducted to determine whether there is a relationship between the normality test, dependent and independent variables, and to determine the variables to be included in the model. In order to determine the deviations from the least squares method assumptions; VIF, Durbin Watson d-statistic values are examined. According to the results obtained; it was determined that the student's gender, the student's level of the grade, the mother's education level, the father's education level, the age of the mother, the number of students in the household, the average monthly income of the family had a positive effect on the amount of education expenditure. It was concluded that there was a negative relationship between father's age, the monthly expenses of the family's rent / lodging and success satisfaction factors with the amount of education expenditure.
