Abstract
Amaç: Yapmış olduğumuz araştırmada lohusalarda öz şefkatin maternal bağlanmaya etkisi ve etkileyen faktörlerin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Araştırma tanımlayıcı, ilişki arayıcı ve kesitsel nitelikte tasarlanmıştır. Araştırma'nın evreni; Erzurum İl Sağlık Müdürlüğü'ne bağlı merkez ilçesinde bulunan Pasinler Aile Sağlığı Merkezi'ne başvuran 4-6 haftalık lohusalar oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın örneklem büyüklüğünü belirlemek için priori güç analizi kullanılarak 305 lohusa çalışmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Verilerin toplanmasında 'Kişisel Bilgi Formu', 'Öz Şefkat Ölçeği Kısa Formu' ve 'Maternal Bağlanma Ölçeği'' kullanılmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde yüzdelik, ortalama, standart sapma, min-max, t testi, Varyans Analizi, Pearson Korelasyon Testi ve Doğrusal Regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri SPSS 27 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Aim: The aim of our study was to examine the effect of self-compassion on maternal attachment in postpartum women and the influencing factors. Methods: The study was designed as a descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional study. The study population consisted of 4-6 weeks postpartum women who presented to the Pasinler Family Health Center in the central district of Erzurum Provincial Health Directorate. A priori power analysis was used to determine the sample size of the study, and 305 postpartum women were included in the study. A 'Personal Information Form,' 'Self-Compassion Scale Short Form,' and 'Maternal Attachment Scale' were used to collect data. Percentage, mean, standard deviation, min-max, t-test, Analysis of Variance, Pearson Correlation Test, and Linear Regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The study data were analyzed using SPSS 27 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) package program. Results: The mean score of the postpartum women participating in the study on the Maternal Attachment Scale was 92.62 (min-max: 53-104), and the mean score on the Self-Compassion Scale was 37.69. The Pearson correlation analysis between the Self-Compassion Scale and the Maternal Attachment Scale found the correlation value to be r=0.484. In addition, to understand the predictive power of the Self-Compassion Scale scores of the postpartum women on the Maternal Attachment Scale scores, Simple Linear Regression analysis was applied, and the regression values were found to be R=0.484 and R2=0.234. Conclusion: The results indicate that self-compassion is a factor that strengthens maternal attachment during the postpartum period. It has been determined that high levels of self-compassion mean that mothers have a more understanding and accepting attitude towards themselves, which increases maternal attachment. Keywords: Mother-Baby Relationship, Postpartum Period, Maternal Bonding, Self-Compassion, Nursing.
