Sultan Iı. Abdülhamid Döneminde Kadın ve Kadının Sosyal Hayattaki Rolü

Abstract

Geçmişten günümüze kadınlar hakkındaki tartışmalar her zaman güncelliğini koruyan bir unsur olmuştur. Toplumsal yapının önemli öğelerinden biri olan kadın, toplumsal bağlamda oluşan değişim ve yeniliklerden her daim etkilenmiştir. Osmanlı Devleti'ne genel olarak bakıldığında her yüzyılın kendine özgü yenileşme ve değişim süreci olmuştur. Bu değişim ve yenileşme sürecinin en belirgin olduğu yüzyıl 19. yüzyıldır. Tanzimat dönemi ile birlikte sadece devlet kademeleri ve yönetim değil toplumsal yaşam da değişime uğramıştır. Bu toplumsal değişimin önemli bir yönü ise Osmanlı kadınının toplumdaki konumunun tartışılmaya başlanmasıdır. Tartışmalar doğrultusunda Osmanlı kadınının toplum içerisindeki konumu I. Meşrutiyet'in ilanıyla birlikte netlik kazanmaya başlamıştır. Kadının toplumdaki statüsüne dair kalıplaşmış birçok tabu yıkılmaya başladığı gibi modernleşme olgusu kadının düşüncesine, hayat tarzına, çalışma hayatına, eğlence anlayışına ve giyim kuşam tarzına yansımıştır. Bu çalışmada değişimin kadınların toplumsal yaşamına yansıması genel bir çerçeve çizilerek ele alınmıştır.

Discussions about women have always been an up-to-date element from past to present. Being one of the important elements of the social structure, women have always been affected by the changes and innovations in the social context. Looking at the Ottoman Empire in general, each century has had a unique process of innovation and change. The century in which this process of change and innovation was most evident is the 19th century. With the not only the state levels and administration but also social life has changed. An important aspect of this social change is that the position of Ottoman women in society began to be discussed. In line with the discussions, the position of Ottoman women in society started to become clear with the declaration of the First Constitutional Monarchy. Women began to collapse as many taboos stereotypes relating to the status of my case the idea of women toluene modernization, life style, working life, was reflected in the concept of entertainment and apparel styles. With this study, the reflection of change on women's social life is handled with a general framework.
