Selami Münir Yurdatap'ın Polisiye Romanları Üzerine Bir İnceleme

Abstract

Birçok türde yüzlerce roman veren Selami Münir Yurdatap'ın 1928 yılında çevirmenliğini yaptığı yaklaşık on yedi polisiye romanı bulunmaktadır. Bu romanlar bir yapıtın polisiye türü olarak değerlendirilmesinde başat ögeler olarak sıralanan suç, suçlu ve muamma ögelerini bulunduran ve bu kategoride değerlendirilen türlerdir. Polisiye türünün gelişimi yıllar içerisinde aynı çerçeveyle farklı iskeletler üzerinde şekillenmiştir. Yurdatap'ın da bahsi geçen türdeki romanları da bu bağlamda türün gelişimi incelendikten sonra romanların kurgusu, olayların ortaya çıkışındaki temel etkenler, suç unsurlarının çeşitliliği açısından incelenecektir. Romanların özetleri sunulup olaylar hakkında bilgi sahibi olunduktan sonra romanlardaki polisiye unsurlar irdelenecektir. Çalışmamızda bahsi geçen tür hakkında genel bilgi verildikten sonra Yurdatap'ın çevirmenliğini yaptığı ve pek çoğu Sherlock Holmes ile Arsen Lüpen arasındaki sergüzeştleri anlatan polisiye romanlar incelenecek ve çalışmanın sonunda da romanların Latin harflerine çevirileri verilecektir.
