Functional modal analysis is a nondestructive type of in situ experimentation technique that enables the estimation of the construction’s modal behavior parameters. Considering technical advantages, the method finds a wide range of applications in different fields of engineering. Operational modal analysis is preferred for some kinds of structural engineering studies on historic masonry constructions as well. In the case of historic masonry, the method can be preferred for structural analysis model calibration, verification of masonry material identification procedures, structural health monitoring, condition assessment, and damage detection. The text provides information aboutmasonry modeling approaches that link operational modal analysis to the macro modeling method. Possible operational modal analysis applications are stated in the manuscript; operational modal analysis studies of the author on miscellaneous historic masonry constructions are exampled for different purposes. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2022.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessArchitectural HeritageHistoric MasonryMacro ModelingOperational Modal AnalysisStructural EngineeringOperational Modal Analysis Method for Historic Masonry Structures: ApplicationsBook Part
