The sample of the study consists of high school students who participated in the school sports competitions held in Trabzon in the 2016–2017 academic year. It is a descriptive and quantitative research method. Child and young psychological resilience scale, which was developed by Liebenberg, Ungar and LeBlanc (2013) and adapted to Turkish by Arslan (2015) was used as data collection tool. The results of the analysis did not show any significant difference in terms of gender, age and type of high school. However, in terms of the sports branch variable, it was observed that the students in a sports branch, licensed in team sports, had a significantly higher score than the students in the individual sports branches. © 2019.
