Derya Coşkun

Abstract

Assoc. Prof. Dr Derya Coşkun is an academic specialising in Medieval History and a faculty member in the Department of History at Erzurum Technical University. After completing her undergraduate education in the Department of History at Atatürk University, she pursued her master’s and doctoral studies in the field of Medieval History. Her academic research focuses on Mongol history, the Seljuks, Central Asia and Iran, and the political, social, and economic structures of the medieval period. In particular, she has conducted original studies on topics such as the Yuan dynasty, monetary and fiscal policies, legal norms, and social practices. Dr Coşkun has published numerous articles and books in national and international peer-reviewed journals and continues her academic activities as a project coordinator and researcher, contributing to medieval historiography through an interdisciplinary perspective.
