Abstract
In this paper, a patch antenna on the flexible substrate is designed for many wireless applications especially Internet of Things (IoT). The paper presents the design of a microstrip patch antenna on the flexible substrate operated at 2.45GHz ISM band. In order to have better flexibility, a thin silicon rubber is used as a substrate. First, the antenna is designed on the planar silicon rubber. Then, the silicon rubber is bended on the cylindirical structures which have different diameters. Numerical results show that the resonance frequency of the antenna changes with bending the silicon rubber. The antenna simulations were performed in CST software. Simulation results suggest that silicone rubber material may be used for angled surface of the antenna. © 2018 IEEE.
